Start of the open lecture series "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" organised by the Munich University Network.

Renowned personalities from Munich's universities will talk about sustainable, innovative and entrepreneurial thinking from the unique perspectives of their respective institutions.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Music, Arts & Media

Prof Maurice Lausberg holds a degree in physics and studied at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. After several years as a consultant for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, he was production manager at the Bavarian State Opera, where he built up the development/sponsorship department.

In 2005, Prof. Lausberg founded actori GmbH as managing partner, a company that is the market leader in German-speaking countries for strategy consulting in the fields of culture, entertainment and education. He is also a co-founder of a number of spin-offs in the fields of technology, virtual reality and machine learning, and has been Professor of Cultural Management at the University of Music and Theatre in Munich since October 2009.

In 2020, he initiated Wavelab - a start-up centre for technology-based start-ups in the cultural and creative industries. Maurice Lausberg has also been HMTM's Technology Transfer Officer since 2024.
